It holds 2.8 Ton of fertilizer so down time is at a minimum and driven by a duelled wheeled tractor with Auto Steer GPS gives our operators plenty of time to concentrate on doing a steady 100% accurate job giving us perfectly uniformed planting and high yields.
It is fitted with row shut off saving up to 10% on seed. Saving you money and gaining you more yield and grain from not over planting.
With 120kg downward pressure we can offer DIRECT DRILL/ NO TILL and get outstanding precision crops compared to standard planters.
HORSCH AIR SEEDER DIRECT DRILL
We are positive this drill is the perfect machine for our Taranaki conditions. Its easy to calibrate and has 100% seed accuracy due to the electronic metering unit, it is easy to gage and adjust the seed discs to determine the right seed depth .
This drill is suited for direct drilling and cultivated ground.
Two seed boxes and one seed broadcaster fitted on the back for broadcasting small seeds and slug bait.
The Horsch 4m drill is fitted with cultivating discs at the front of the drill, these are optional for discing rough ground, preparing a seed bed or burying trash while you are drilling.
On some jobs to avoid power harrowing before plating maize we have used the Horsch to cultivate disc and drill Urea in one pass.
ROLLER DRILLING
We run a 3m Duncan roller drill followed by another Cambridge roller.
We have found the Cambridge roller trailing the drill to protect the seed in dry windy conditions.
